The inspiration for this piece came from a dream i had. I was wandering through a huge room filled with all different kinds of big cats - Leopards, Tigers, Lions, all friendly. A pair of Panthers walked next to me in complete unison. Together they turned to look straight at me, that powerful gaze of big cats. I had to paint one after this very moving encounter.
The title comes from Psalm 42.7. 'Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls' speaking of the communion between the Spirit of God and man's spirit. This communication becoming easier in the quiet and dreams of sleeping hours.
