This is the famed and elusive Black Panther from the Indian forests of Kabini. A Melanistic Leopard of startling beauty. I wanted to capture that velvety rich kaleidoscope coat, against the lush, jewelled jungle. His colours change depending on the angle and the light, which gives a beautiful and dynamic dimension to this painting.
The look in his eyes captivates, undisturbed by any external influence. A true king in his kingdom.
